HAITI EARTHQUAKE
Haiti has an estimnated population of 10,033,000, it has an area of 10,741 Square miles and 80% of the population live in poverty.
It has a 95% ethnic population, 5% Mulatto. The official Language is French, Creole and Haitian.

Independence since 1st January 1804, it is the oldest independent nation in the Western Hemisphere after the US.
In the whole of the country there are 3 types of newspapers, 55 radios only the welathiest have TV sets of which there are only 5 and there are no mobile telephones and the telecommunication is state owned.
With there being no electricity, and 19% of the population have no access to water and sanitation, this is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.
There are business opportunites as it has recently joined the Carribean Common Market (CARICOM).
